Letters to Emily 2Dear Emily,  I've been waiting for you to be right. Logically, what you're trying to tell me should be right.   
Though I've come to learn what is logical isn't always right.  
 
I've been sitting on the beach sifting through grains of sand looking for the perfect shell.  I have not found it yet, but that does not mean I should give up. I intend to comb the beaches even if my knees become raw, red and dented from kneeling in the sand, and my hands become cracked, stiff, and dry from the salty water and wind.  
 
I almost want to ask you if it's worth it, but you will give me a logical answer that I'm no Letters to Emily 2

You said you wanted to go back. I know the feeling.  Why? Why did you?  Now you've shown me exactly what I fear most...   
The question is not can I return,  but should I?  I know I have the power to,  
but do I have the strength to resist it?   
And that is why I hate you.  
I have never hated anyone like I hate you.  Only because those moments of ultimate happiness I had,  and cried during (because I knew they wouldn't last)  we're just.  
I cried knowing I wouldn't go back. Knowing I couldn't.  
I wish to be proved wrong.

Treadmill of DaysIf I ever go into a coma,  will you help me re-live my life?   
I just need you to grab my iPod over there...  Stick the buds in my ears,  
and put it on shuffle.   
It's like entering a ballroom, with all of the people I've ever known.  We walk around and mingle.   
A certain song plays, and in my mind's ballroom,  
I wave at familiar faces, places, and times.  I grab a glass of champagne,  and my pink sparkling dress is the one I've always wanted to wear.   
Electric guitar strums, and the room is darker. A man is handing me glow-in-the-dark earrings?

I'm Dorothy at the end of the Wizard of Oz. I've always "had the power to go back to Kansas" so to speak.
But I never could, I wouldn't have believed I could...because I had to learn for myself.

And I've learned. I've grown.
If I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look further than my own backyard, because if it isn't there, then I never really lost it to begin with.
Pretty much...either I am happy, or I am not. And if I'm not, then I have the power to change it. But it's perfectly normal to live in bliss and not have any problems. It's useless to try and fix something that isn't broken.


Maybe now that I know this I can "click my heels" and go home.

    haha no i just happen to love pirates of the caribbean, and it goes along with my life theme of being a rebel... kinda lol
    one of my favorite songs is the he's a pirate song on the pirates soundtrack so i changed it to "she's a pirate"

    hey thanks! i have a bunch of poems i need to type up and put on here. i write them in class, and my friend sam pointed out that they're all about being judged...i guess i don't feel good enough
