When their molars wear down, they die...after 70 years of a healthy life (they can't eat their food and end up starving to death).
Isn't that horrible? If only elephants had dentists! They aren't dying of natural causes...it's because they can't eat.
If I was an elephant, I would worry about starving to death my entire life. Even though there is a chance I could be killed by a predator.
What does that say about me? That I worry about what's inevitable? What's the sense in that?
I can worry because I'm aware. Elephants don't know they will die of starvation. I guess ignorance really is bliss.

thanks!
